Only Known by Their Nickname: His full name is "Edward" but it's shortened to distinguish him from his friends. Older Than They Look: In the original game he was vaguely aged, but according to the Legacy devs he's seventeen. In Legacy he's been Age Lifted to seventeen, which still counts. Kid Hero: In the original version of Fusionfall he's still of middle school age. Retro averted this by giving his model a touch-up in an update, making him look more like he did in the show. Gonk: Unlike most other characters, he wasn't given a Plot-Relevant Age-Up or given a handsome animesque design. In the cartoon his hair is presumably stylized but here he literally only has three stands of hair. Adaptational Ugliness: He was never described as particularly ugly in the show but the art-style here really makes him look off. The Workaholic: According to the lore of Legacy, Dexter became a shut-in who would work on his projects endlessly for sometimes weeks on end. His older sister Dee Dee doesn't seem to have aged much, so it's likely not too much time has passed since the cartoon. Vague Age: He's older than before but it's hard to tell if he's a teenager or not. Smart People Wear Glasses: He's a young genius and has worn glasses since infancy. Science Hero: Dexter adores science and is a scientist. He's gone from a short, cute looking boy to a handsome, taller adolescent. Pretty Boy: One of the most pronounced examples in the game. He is older but doesn't quite seem to be a teenager yet. Plot-Relevant Age-Up: He was under ten in the cartoon. Kid Hero: In the original cartoon he was just a smart boy with a lab, though he occasionally acted as a superhero. Gadgeteer Genius: He's handy with building things. Child Prodigy: He's a preteen super-genus. Adorably Precocious Child: Downplayed, as his "cuteness" has mostly been exchanged for "attractiveness", but it's still there. Adaptational Badass: He went from a dorky kid to a more intimidating and cooler looking one. Tomboyish Voice: Her voice is lower than her siblings. Sole Survivor: She's the only one of her sisters who is alive in the future. Passionate Sports Girl: According to the lore of Legacy, Buttercup is a field hockey player. Idle Animation: Buttercup looks around, punches the air, and cracks her knuckles. 
It's never explained how she got her memory back, but in the future she's back to her old self again, Her sisters can't find her but eventually she ends up meeting Ace.
Identity Amnesia: She loses her memory due to an attack by Mojo Jojo. Hellbent For Leather: She wears a leather jacket as Belladonna. Delinquent Hair: Her hair is more spiked while she's an amnesiac and she has green streaks in her hair. 
Dating Catwoman: She ends up dating Ace, one of her enemies, while she's lost her memories. Boyish Short Hair: She's the most tomboyish sister and has her hair cut into a stylized bob. Artificial Human: She was created by Professor Utonium. Adaptation Dye-Job: The mid-section of her dress was actually a stylized belt in the cartoon. Younger Than They Look: She is five years younger than her physical age due to being created anatomically five years old. Her Nano has a voice closer to her original one. Vocal Evolution: Her voice is lower and less soft than when she was five. True Blue Femininity: She wears a blue dress and is the girliest sister. Plot-Relevant Age-Up: She's aged from a (physically) five year old to a preteen. In the cartoon she literally had no nose, but here she has one. 
Innocent Blue Eyes: Bubbles has light blue eyes.Idle Animation: Bubbles looks around and does a dance.Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Bubbles carries around Octy on her back.Girlish Pigtails: She wears her hair in curly pigtails.Genki Girl: She's chipper and excitable.In the cartoon she literally had no fingers due to being an artificial human.
The Ditz: She's not the smartest of her sisters (though she isn't dumb) and is the most childish of them.
